Parks & Rec Month in QC

Queen Creek is celebrating Parks and Recreation month by offering free programs at the Queen Creek Community Center. Hours through July 25 are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday for youth ages 6 and 12. Hours for teens ages 13-17 are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Free registration packets are available at the Community Center, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road.

Come Play the Animal Way! Enriching the lives of the animals here at the Zoo is not only fun, but very important for their well-being! Come play the animal way, during Winter in July! With tons of snow (literally), fun puzzle feeders, foraging activities, and other activities, see for yourself how the animals get to play everyday. The kids will get to play in tons of snow too, just like our animals here at the Zoo. They will also get to try out some of behavioral enrichment toys just like the animals play with! After “coolin’ off” please attend our very special Winter in July BBQ in our air conditioned Stone House Pavilion, catered by El Paso BBQ. See the details below.

Animal Encounter Times:
7:30am – Elephants
8:00 am – Orangutans
8:30 am – Mandrills & Baboons
9:00 am – Cheetahs & Wild Dogs
9:30 am – Tiger
10:00 am – Otters
10:30 am – Ocelot

Activities include:

*Watch your favorite animals play in the snow during the Animal Encounters! Learn all about tigers, and what we can do everyday to help them in the wild! Big kids (kids over 5) can play on 2 big water slides and an inflatable slip and slide!

*Make your own “Snow Creature”

*Special Toddler Area for children under 5 (includes smaller snow pile, smaller waterslide, bubbles, hula hoops and snow creature building).

* Play the animal way! Try out some of the toys we give the animals, boomer ball races, foraging activity, and more!

*Rock out with Radio Disney
